Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This website follows the privacy guidelines set by the Federal Trade Commission. This Privacy Statement will answer the following questions:
  1. What information is collected through this website?
  2. What organization is collecting the information?
  3. How is this information used?
  4. With whom may this information be shared?
  5. What choices are available to you regarding the collection of information?
  6. How can you access and correct any inaccuracies in the information?
  7. What security procedures are in place to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of information?

1. What information is collected through this website?

This website can collect two types of information:
  1. Technical information about your computer
  2. Personal information you choose to share with us

A. Technical information about your computer

This site uses client-side scripts to determine what elements of a page your computer can display.

The animations on this site require Macromedia's Flash. The pages with these animations use a script to check for the Flash player. If your computer does not have Macromedia Flash installed, you will be given the option of downloading Flash, or you may continue without viewing the animations. You can set the security settings of your Web browser to deny scripts if you prefer not to run this script. Information is destroyed immediately when you leave the page or close the browser.

In addition to the client-side information gathering, this site records your IP address, your operating system, your Web browser, and the URL from which you linked here, if that is provided by your Web browser. This information is compiled and used to analyze traffic. None of this information could personally identify you, and this information will not be shared with any third party or affiliated organization.

B. Personal information you choose to share with us

The purpose of this site is to advertise the National Guard Bureau's attrition and retention products to leaders in the field like you and make it easy for you to obtain these products.

To facilitate this process, we have placed two forms on this website, “Contact Us” and “Tell a Friend About this Site,” in which we ask you to provide information about yourself—name, rank, state, and email address, any questions or comments you may have about this website—and the name and email address of a friend whom you may want to tell about this website.

If you choose to send us the information requested on either of these pages, it will not be centrally recorded on this site. The information on the "Tell a Friend About this Site" page will go directly to your friend's email address. The information on the "Contact Us" page will go directly to the Army National Guard Program Manager, who will not share this information with any third party, affiliated organization, or mailing list without your permission.

2. What organization is collecting the information?

This site is maintained by the National Guard Bureau.

3. How is this information used?

Any personal information you send to us is used to process your requests for attrition and retention products, to address your comments and questions about these products, and to forward a link to this website to a friend. This information is not centrally recorded, shared with any third party, or used for any different marketing purpose.

4. With whom may this information be shared?

The National Guard Program Manager will not share your personal information with any third party, unless you request him or her to do so.

5. What choices are available to you regarding the collection of information?

We can only receive your personal information if you put it in a form and click "submit". If you would prefer not to share this information with us, either do not submit a form at all, or submit a form without the information you would prefer not to share.

6. How can you access and correct any inaccuracies in the information?

Since your personal information is not centrally stored, you cannot directly access it through this site.

7. What security procedures are in place to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information?

Since your personal information is not centrally stored, the security protecting your information depends on the Army National Guard Program Manager. You can ask him or her what security measures are protecting your personal information.
