"SEAR prepares recruits both physically and mentally for the challenges ahead. I use "Why Am I Here?" early on to give new recruits a Soldier's attitude from the start."

Why Am I Here?
(Sample SEAR Presentation)

Prevent AWOLs and dropouts with this inspiring presentation.
"Why am I Here?" erases recruits' most common doubts and fears and replaces them with the knowledge and positive reinforcement they need to stay focused on getting to Initial Entry Training.

Designed to inspire trainees and reinforce the significance of their choice to serve, this training includes messages, images, and videos that:
  • Remind recruits of the positive goals that first inspired them to sign up
  • Build confidence that their service can help them achieve all those goals
  • Teach them about the great historical tradition they are now a part of
  • Explain their important role as protectors of their families, communities, and American values
  • Provide tips on how to face negative peer pressure from family and friends
  • Motivate by explaining the awesome changes they'll experience moving from civilian to Soldier
Additional training strategies help leaders attract Soldiers best suited for Cadre—Leaders who are in shape, look sharp, and are passionate about getting troops to and through Initial Entry Training.

Use "Why Am I Here?" to give your trainees the fuel to keep their commitment strong.
